(I have to say that three times or else something terrible will happen to me)" 2003-07-11 - 11:05 p.m. I make lists. Lots and lots and lots of lists. I make anywhere between five and ten lists in any given day. I have even been known, on particularly manic and busy days, to make fifteen or more assorted lists. Some are just a couple of items scribbled down on a scrap of paper, but others are fairly complicated and precise. It is a sickness, I know, but I can't help it. I don't really want to help it, actually. It's like my little guilty pleasure. I know I'm a freak for making all these lists, but I love them dearly. Usually I'll start the day with one huge mess of a list. It will contain everything about which I want to make a list; things to do, things to buy, etc. As the day goes on, I will make a series of smaller lists from the information in that original list, crossing out items on the master list as I go. And occasionally I will even make another few lists as companions to some of the second series of lists. For example: Today, on the big list, I wrote "grocery shopping". Under that heading, I made more specific lists such as "house grocery shopping" or "personal grocery shopping", and then each of those contained the items I needed to purchase. Sometimes, if I'm shopping at more than one store, I will break down the list of things to purchase into the smaller lists for each specific store. Anyway, the reason I'm sharing this is that I believe today my list making obsession might finally have gotten out of hand. Today, I found myself laminating the various and sundry lists. That is not a good sign. And THEN, as if this weren't bad enough, I read over my lists and realized that I had made a list of other lists I still needed to make. One of the things I had LISTED on my to do list was "MAKE OTHER LISTS." I MADE A LIST IN ORDER TO LIST ALL THE OTHER LISTS I STILL NEEDED TO MAKE TODAY. This strikes me as more than a little insane. *************************************** Anyway, deviants, I have the weekend off, and I fully intend to spend much of it pickled in gin. Mmmmm...gin and Fresca. We are having the first Wing Spectacular on Saturday. Well. I don't know if it's going to be THAT spectacular. It's Wing Spectacular Lite. The Wing Spectacular, Beta Version. It's the test run, the maiden voyage, the dress rehearsal for Wing Spectacular 2003. If it works out, THEN we'll have THE Wing Spectacular. So we'll see. But I still fully intend to make the most of the event. I will be making out with everyone who attends, exposing myself to passing cars, dancing around balancing beverages on my head, and generally making an ass out of myself. Wheee! So behave yourselves, stay out of trouble, and have a lovely weekend.
